About Lauren
Lauren brings over a decade of experience in massage therapy to her practice, prioritizing a trauma-informed approach that empowers clients to find moments of healing through touch, breathing exercises, and body awareness education. Creating a safe and body-positive space for everyone is central to her work, ensuring each individual feels supported and valued.
With a focus on personalized care, Lauren addresses various issues such as cancer recovery, anxiety, stress, headaches, whiplash, back pain, frozen shoulder, and chronic pain.
She grew up on unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, more commonly known as Vancouver, British Columbia and moved to Coquitlam on unceded ancestral Kwikwetlam territory in 2019 with her husband, son and daughter. I would like to thank the Kwikwetlam who continue to live on these lands and care for them, along with the waters and all that is above and below. Other loves are dancing, spending time in nature, and baking for her family.
Lauren’s blue heron story
I have been in love with herons since I found a heron feather on my path while praying for guidance.
I was supporting several of my family members through their cancer journey, while healing and grieving my own disfigurement from cancer. The heron represents patience, stability, grace and self- actualization for me. During the hardest moments of my life, when self regulation was the most challenged, I longed for a place to help me settle. I am inspired by the heron and my experiences to provide a meaningful moment of rest where healing can flourish. Massage is my practice, as well as breath work and home exercises.
